i'm lovin' it

I think i'm going to quit this job before i even find a replacement. I tried to put up with being bounced around from one manager to another, tried to keep up with their imaginary tasks and their ridiculous expectations. I'm literally dealing with piles of virtual nonsense that make no effort in being reasonable, just wishful thinking with no basis to qualify to obtain them. I suggested approaches, but i'm given crap for not sticking to what i'm told..

Princess Basma bint Saud bin Abdulaziz spoke to the BBC recently about the changes she'd like to see in Saudi Arabia. She was critical and honest, and choose to address some fo the "actual" problems, instead of the superficial ones. It's a rarity to see royalty relate in such detail to what troubles the Saudi society. a Pointless Circle, and then a dot..?

Lately, I've been having nonsensical moments of realization. Like, for example, i realize i'm in the middle of a race with myself, don't know what about, but it's like i'm trying to achieve something i'm not sure i know. You know that feeling that you get like you're ALWAYS late for something, or late for being somewhere? I'm getting that, and i don't have the faintest idea what am i searching for.

So, amidst all the roller-coaster rides i've been having and i like to call "life events", I went back hoping i left enough bread crumbs to trace my way to where all of "this" came from.

Let's just put it this way..
There are no more breadcrumbs, and i'm not sure i know where i am right now..

"Carvings" at Athr..

Well, finally, the gallery is over and now i can post the pictures online (guilt free). It's already in the Sketches section of the website, and on Facebook.

The series is part of the collection i exhibited in Athr Gallery, and it's about several stages and ideas that I tried to deliver as if they're carved out of stone. The medical leave i was in during the past 2 months, if you remember my car accident, gave me more than enough time to experiment in the delivery of the work. It's partially inspired by a series of sketches i did for the 2012 Sketchbook Project, so try to find the resemblance lol..

This is the first time i mix between actual paint and pencil sketching, i really had fun in the process..

Won't be reviewing Athr this time..

The upcoming Athr Gallery event "Young Saudi Artists" accepted a sample of my work to exhibit, and i was going to hand over recycled works i did before. After my car accident, I added a new set that's basically a half made collection of emotions (inspired by my submission to the 2012 Sketchbook Project) that I couldn't finish, for obvious reasons. And now I'll just put them in their current state, plus two more drawn while i was bed-bound for the past month..
